I finally found time to make it to the track with the coupe that I picked up from lloyyd (SVTP member).

The temps were cold so traction was an issue...plus I cant drive :lol1:. It was 36 degress on the 1st pass and a touch cooler perhaps on the 2nd run. Tony (SVTP member aka llightitup) rode up and took the vids for me.

I hope to get more seat time next spring and hope for a better E.T.

My details:

Whipple 2.3 140ax Gen1

2.70 pulley

SRA

Hoosier 315 Dr's (17 inch) 15lbs of pressure.

The car weighed 3518 without me (I'm 185), spare tire/jack in trunk

4,000 RMP rode the clutch out and flubbed the "launch".

1.700 60'

7.197 @ 99.31

11.092 @ 133.13

Run 1

Run 2:

5,000 RMP and dumped the clutch ... spun (I flubbed it)

1.816 60'

7.400 @ 104.97

11.269 @ 134.23

(The Porsche TURBO ran 10.792 @ 131.59 but was sleeping at the wheel.)

A line lock may be my winter mod so I can do better burnouts.

Come on Spring :pop:

Man you get some big's n littles on that thing and you're way into the 10's. I'm sure you'll get tens now with that setup. I highly recommend a line lock. They're a freaking blast.

134+ mph:rockon:

With tho's speeds and times, do they make you run a cage? Around here....anything faster then 11.49 and you get the boot.

No cage.. I did wear my helmet but they were not even checking for those.

I've ran my vert to 11.6 @ 126 without a rollbar as well.

Hopefully Tennspeed does that track rental one more time. If you know of any track rentals pm me and I'll see if I can get some Kentucky guys to make a road trip.

They are doing the track rental again next year around the same time. I think it would be nice to rent the track for the SVTOA chapters in TN and surrounding areas early in the year.

^I and however many other people I could get together would be interested. I don't know if my buddies and I would be invited to the SVTOA one but I'm sure I could round up a few cars. Super nice people too. Just let me know.

we'd need to work it like TNspped does... Rent the track and the track insurance. Then people can pre-pay so we know we will have the track paid for. We can try to work on it.... I will ask the TNspped guys what kind of cost is involved.
