DETROIT, June 1 (Reuters) - The following are the 20
top-selling vehicles in the U.S. through May of 2006 as
reported by the auto makers.
Total sales of the top 20 vehicles fell 3.3 percent or
-82,106 units to 2,425,261.
Following is a list of the top-20 selling vehicles, ranked
by total units.

I'd say it has more to do with the biggest redesign in the car's history than simply gas prices though.

yea but I'd wager the majority sold aren't going to ricers who think it looks sooo awesome now...more like people using them as commuter cars, etc...???

The economy and gas price's are what i believe is causing the slow down. In my area i see quite a few 05/06 but the funny thing is most of the driver are maturing women/older males. :coolman: Most of them are just reliving there youth. Ford F-150's are always gonna be in the top because of work use etc,
hell my father in law purchased a 06 Lariat fully loaded and now wants to buy a second one just to use as a work truck. :-D

This list is really surprising. The Cobalt is going pretty strong there with the highest percentage of change at 23. I was starting to think that Dodge trucks were catching up to Ford but they're actually doing pretty crappy. nd its not lookng good for the explorer with a drop like that, even after a redesign.
