So Im getting the coupe back on the road. Its been sitting since 06 and I havent touched it since I bought my 03 cobra in 2007.
I have been a member on here for a while, but never post much. I see alot of good info on here so I thought Id ask u you guys for your thoughts and input on tires.

Im looking into getting some MT's for my coupe. Im running a 15x8 Prostar with a 5.5bs. The two tires sizes Im looking at are 275/60/15 and 255/60/15. The 275/60/15 is 28"s tall and about 11"s wide, and the 255/60/15 is 27"s tall and 10.5"s wide. I know they both fit but wanted to know what you guys think.

Im leaning to the 255"s because Im not so sure I want such a big tire on a 8" wheel. I had a 275/50/15 on it before but it seamed a little short.

let me know what you think and post pics of any of the two if you would.MT

The main concern would be clearance. If your coupe is lowered, I would lean towards the 255's. However, I have always favored the 275/50-15's because it's very close to the factory diameter.
275's are not too wide for an 8" rim especially with that amount of sidewall. Manufacturer's recommendations are 7.5" to 9.5".

Its not lowered at all. Im leaning more and more to the 275's. The cars has 4:30 gears. Im thinking the taller tires will be better for it. Guess Ill change gears and tires once I find out the power band and what rpm the car finishes the 1/4 in
