Well, first post here.
And I don't own an SVT Product... So don't go bashing just yet.
Still own a ford, mustang at that.

Anyways to my question:
Going to be purchasing some ET Streets within the next few days.
More than likely the DR's.

I've got a 92 GT, dropped 1.5", kyb gas shocks, and a set of 10 holes.
Theyre a 15x7 rim, but whatever.
Curious as to which tire I should go for, and if fitting will be a problem.

My choices are the 235/50/15 275/50/15 or 275/60/15

The first two selections are a 26.1" overall diameter, while the last is a 28".

But the rim size that's recommended for the two 11.5" tires are 10" wide for the 275/50 and 8" wide for the 275/60 according to MT's website.

I know I can fit the 235 without problems but concerned how it will hook.
Now to talk about the power.

Making around 421rwtq and have a set of 4.10 gears and a TKO500.
So the torque is pretty insane.
I'd like to launch this thing balls to the wall, and unsure if the 235 will keep up.

If not, I'll more than likely go back to the ET Street(bias-ply)
Because those were just simply amazing.
But if I can get rid of the ass end wobble at the end of the track, all the better.

For hooking up a little better, battery is in the back over right rear, Strange 10-way struts, I'll drop the front swaybar, Full length SFC's, and i have the hurtful eibach pro-kit springs. As said, lowered 1.5"

I know this is a long post, but I think I included about everything needed to know how things would work.
Car weighs in around 3360 w/ me inside.

Mainly concerned how the 275 tire will fit on that rim, and on my car.
I know I'll have to drop the quadshocks as well.

Thanks,
Kyle.

I would stick with the 235/50/15's personally. I have never been able to run a 28" tall tire on my mustang and it's not even lowered. I can only fit the 26" tall slicks or E/T Streets on them without having any clearance problems. I also don't think those 275's will fit on the ten hole wheels very well. As far as hooking up, the E/T Streets are d@mn good. However a full on slick will give you more traction. I just like the way the M/T e/t Streets hook up.

Hmmf, so you think the 235/50/15 will be more than enough for my tire needs.
And will plant me to the ground w/ the torque and gearing i have?

Well no, I've never driven your car. I'm just trying to help you get more information so you can make the best decision for the situation at hand. If you're really concerned with wether the 235's will stick, then go with a 26" M/T Slick instead.

The 235's are 235/60/15's not 235/50/15's. They stand 26.1" tall and seem to hook pretty good. I had them on my V8 240z. I would go for the 275/50/15's . I have seen plenty of Fox bodys run this size and hook hard. But the tire is a bit wide for a 15x7" wheel. You would be better off with some 15x8 weld drag lights.

Sounding a little better, but hmm...
What short times were you cutting?(curious)
You either have one sick drag setup or making a decent amount more power than I.
