I remember some members here thought the GT500 CFTP would be faster than the Viper ACR. Clearly not.
The GT500 might have fast hero laps, but how does it hold up in 35min or 45min sessions on the track?
that was @LostM because of the stopwatch time ppl were doing at grattan. We already know its too heavy of a pig to complete.I remember some members here thought the GT500 CFTP would be faster than the Viper ACR. Clearly not.

While I never thought it was a 28 I did think it would be faster. I was thinking 33 flat. I was wrong. I also that the F8 and L Evo would be faster than 32.Any one who actually believed that was off their rocker. The ACR has gone as fast as 1:28.xx at LS.
Two vastly different cars with vastly different purposes. We can appreciate both for what they are capable of.
That was bench racing at its finest there.that was @LostM because of the stopwatch time ppl were doing at grattan. We already know its too heavy of a pig to complete.

So the 19 350 is a second faster? The 350R seems to be 3.5 seconds faster? Is this correct?1:37.83 C8 z51

Or do times seem slower this year?
Actually the C7 GS is substantially faster than the C8 around the track. Several independent testers on YouTube have driven both back to back. I’m not sure why people assume the base C8 is supposed to be a world beater.Lol, something might be off if the c8 runs 2 seconds slower than the C7 GS.
From what I understand from a member over at CF who witnessed the hot laps, said the C8 was done in the peak heat for the day.Comparing times from morning to afternoon on the same day can be dicey enough, let alone different years.
Oh but it’s faster than the new GT500. Everyone said that....Actually the C7 GS is substantially faster than the C8 around the track. Several independent testers on YouTube have driven both back to back. I’m not sure why people assume the base C8 is supposed to be a world beater.
I forgot to mention, Car and Driver tested the C8 against the C7 Z51 same day. At Grattan the C8 was only .9 seconds faster if I remember correctly.
Would also love to see how the non CFTP would have done with Randy driving. Curious how much of a difference there is in times.
