so my water meter reader thing is in my backyard and i lock my fence. the water company wants to move the meter outside the fence or install a wireless one.
id rather not have them move the meter and put holes in my siding when they secure the wire. id also rather not have a wireless signal emitting from my house that attaches to personal billing information.
is the meter a simple 2 wire device that i can move myself? i only need to go 20ft or so and attach it to the outside of my fence.
