Hey guys,
I'm a Nevada resident and our law says that you can only get a 2-day moving permit to drive the car to get inspected and to register it at the DMV. You can also get a 15 day permit to transport it to another state. In both cases, the title is needed.
If I'm buying a car (private party) in Arizona and plan to drive it back to Nevada (4 hour drive), I won't have the title to take to my DMV in Nevada to get the proper moving permit. Seems like (based on info on Nevada's DMV site) there is not option for transporting a car from out of state into Nevada legally. Would I be able to obtain a moving permit in Arizona to transport the car if I'm not a resident of that state? Seems like there has to be a solution here other than driving it and hoping not to see an LEO's on the way.
