So I managed to score a nice set of Roush RR03 forged wheels for my car (2010 Roush 'Hammer'). The wheels are in good shape with no curb rash and they seemed to balance up good. They came with used tires. I was gonna buy new tires but these tires (BF Goodrich 275/40 ZR18) have ~90% of tread left on them, so I thought I would try them out.
After I got them all on, I was cleaning them and noticed that the two wheels on driver side have "Mount This Side In" displayed on the OUTSIDE. The two tires on the passenger side are OK and have "Mount This Side In" displayed on the inside. All four tires are OK with regards to rotational arrows pointing in correct direction.
So this means the two tires on driver side are the wrong tires.... and my big question is: is this safe? Obviously, the guy was driving on them. I don't drive the car in rain or snow. Nor do I track the car. I'm not sure how badly this would affect handling for casual driving. Can anyone give me some opinions? Thanks
