Motive gears

We recently had a discussion on Motive gears. More often than not I have had them whine and it was always difficult to get a nice pattern on the gears. Still say get a FMS gear whenever possible. Check out response #5.

I agree 100%. I have known people who have used Motive gears and everyone has had an issue. I have had at least five sets of FMS gears and never a single issue.

These seem to be the same results a lot of people are getting. The intent was not to slam Motive gears but with these many issues cropping up it seems there is a quality issue here. I think it should be addressed. I can tell you firsthand it is annoying to do all that work only to listen to a whiny gear every time you drive the car. EVERY Ford gear I have ever set up has NEVER had any of these issues. I posted this as a heads up to anyone out there who is looking to do a gear swap. As in all things I know not every Motive set will be noisy but the track record seems to be tipped more unfavorably toward it.
