I have been getting a tapping sound from my clutch pedal when I am at idle, and when I first start to go through the gears till I get up to about 2800 rpm. When I looked down at the clutch it was wobbling or shaking and making the sound. When I hold my foot against the back of the pedal it stops wobbling obviously.
So what my question is is this normal wear? Is there a way to prevent this (other than holding it with my foot)?
Am I looking at needing a quadrant replacement?

Thanks, I'm still using the OEM cable and adjuster. So is the adjuster worn out or is the cable stretched, or is a spring bad?
