Modded FPDM Verification

I just purchased a FPDM from a member on this site and claims this IS in fact a modded FPDM.

I popped the cover open and it looked identical to my factory oem one.

I just want to make sure I'm not crazy here.

Id also like to help out others in the feature be able to identify what is modded and what's not.

I'm not blaming the seller in anyway but I do blame myself for not having the seller pop open the cover and take a pic.

This is not a call out thread.

Left one is what came out of my car. Right is what the seller sold me.

Notice the color and size of the "doughnut" vs the factory yellow on the right

Hard to tell from that pic, but more than likely it is not a modified FPDM. Zone 5 did offer a Stage 1 modified FPDM which retained the original inductor ("doughnut"), but they usually came with a different capacitor. Check the capacitor. If it is rated 2200, then it's probably a Stage 1. If it says 1800, it's probably stock.
