HRE Wheels have set the standard for all wheel manufacturing in this industry. There are good wheel manufactures, great ones, and then there's HRE Wheels who sit at the top above the rest. Based out of San Diego, CA, HRE Wheels manufacturers wheels in house in their 60,000 square foot plant, and have been producing wheels since 1978. Most of their wheels start at 100lbs discs and then are slowly machined down using precision tools to a wheel that ends up being extremely light (22lbs, give or take depending on sizing and style of wheel). Lightness isn't the most important factor of wheels, though important, strength should also be highly considered. These HRE Wheels will be manufactured from Aerospace-grade 6061-T6 Forged Aluminum for a high strength to weight ratio. Forged inside the United States, these wheels offer gorgeous and complex designs that can be applied to nearly any car that you desire. Broken down below are each series and individual wheels that HRE currently has available. Since each wheel is custom made to order with varying options of colors and sizes, they will be made to order. Typically a set of four wheels is precision machined, powder-coated or brushed and clear-coated in a matter of 4-5 weeks.​

HRE Wheels have several color options available for powdercoat. HRE is known for having amazing finishes, but I personally have a true love for their hand brushed wheels with either a standard clear coat, or a tinted clear coat to give you a more aggressive look. Each wheel that is brushed takes 3-4 hours of labor PER wheel, and powdercoating is done in house to maintain HRE's suburb high demand for quality. Two-Tone finishes are available, as well as pinstriping as well. Bespoke options including custom finishes, custom machining or engraving are also an option which is to be determined by HRE depending on the difficulty. While these wheels will make an excellent choice for both GT350 versions, I think the HREs can be a better option for those interested in daily driving their R as carbon wheels runs for $13K per or something like that. Then you can stock the Carbons and use them for track days or auto shows. At least that's what I would do.

Ford has come out and said that 7.3K per wheel invoice with the 4 nearing 28K was fake and they won't be "that" expensive. I could see 3-4k a wheel. Also a lot of those HREs are in the same neighborhood. I know the P101s go for about 9k a set

Don't know how to comment since I'm not sure what you're referring to. It's a bit off topic though from what this thread is about, we've been doing this for over 10 years so I don't think that any company in the world has been open for that long and hasn't made a mistake in the past. What matters most is how you correct the problem.

Holy moly $7.3k per wheel would be intense. I know of a carbon fiber wheel manufacturer that I saw at SEMA that we were interested in who manufactured wheels for around $15,000-$20,000 for a set of wheels so I'd probably say that's likely what they would be going for in my opinion.

I know that the S101, the three piece version of the P101, weighs approximately 24 lbs for 20x10 and 26.5 lbs for 20x11 because we had weighed a set, but the P101 with less materials will weigh a few pounds less than that.

FF01's aren't made in 19x11 for the Mustang actually. FF01's are made in 20x9.5 ET35 and 20x10.5 ET45, and the FF15's are made in 18x10 ET40, 19x10 ET40 and 20x10 ET40 as well as 18x10.5 ET48, 19x11 ET55 and 20x11 ET55. Weight's are all as follows:

I haven't heard anything in the pipeline myself, but HRE tends to be very guarded about new information on new product and sizing until it's almost ready for release. If anything new pops up I'll be sure to update the thread
