Truck is due for an oil change, I've always run synthetic 5 - 20.

My question is it requires 6 qts., and I have 5 3/4 quarts of Mobil 1, and I have a bottle of 5 -20 Motorcraft synthetic blend.

Would it be alright to add the 1/4 qt I need of the blend with the 5 3/4 quarts of full synthetic ?

It will not hurt anything. Go ahead.

Motorcraft 5W-20 is about 80% petroleum and 20% hydrocracked petroleum (highly refined petroleum).

Mobil 1 5W-20 isn't a true synthetic. It contains a large percentage of hydrocracked petroleum as well.
