Interesting the jump time went from t-40 minutes to t-54 minutes in the last to minutes or so.

Lol wht do you get when you tune in late to a program? A total misunderstanding of the numbers. That was time into the mission not tome to the jump.

my brother called me to tell me it was on, thank god he did, i've been trying to watch this jump staying up till 8:30AM to watch it all week. they've delayed it 3 or 4 different days now because of wind.
so damn pumped for this! joseph kittinger, the guy that currently holds the record is one of my all time heros, so i've been waiting to see this for years.

I'm watching it on my iPad right now. It's definitely cool to watch and I hope everything goes well for him.

wow, 24 miles above the earth now! so much for 23...

The left side is the altitude in feet and the right side is the altitude in meters...:poke:

They just accidentally put a period instead of a comma on the meters side.

DERP:lol1: i've been completely ignoring the left side and just ASSuming that the right side was miles:smmon:

~121,500ft/37,000 meters is about 23 miles

They just said that he is approaching the record jump height set in 1960. I'm surprised that it's taken 50+ years for somebody to attempt another record jump.

i saw it before your edit, assumed you were talking about a launch delay.

Nah. I did the same thing you did lol! Assumed what the numbers meant.

Kinda neat that kitinger is apparently the flight director on this
