a while back i bought one of those mini/pocket bikes off of ebay and basically it was a japanese made POS that didn't last very long. my question is, is there anyone who makes one that is actually properly made that is fast and looks good? i want something to ride around the neighborhood and cut up on.

They are definately out there but keep in mind as a rule of thumb you will get what you pay for. I saw some in a hobby store that had two stroke motors and billet parts on them that were going for $1,500 and up.
yeah the one i bought was like a couple hundred dollars lol
ummm How long did you have it for? I have had mine for a couple of years now and it still runs great.
