Midwest SVT Challenge 5.0
Saturday, September 2, 2006

The Midwest SVT Challenge is an awesome event!

We rent out US 41 (in Morocco, IN) for the day and it is for Fords ONLY. The past 4 MSC's had about 70 cars. Most people were able to make at least 12 to 15 passes (maybe even more) with almost ZERO waiting!! There will be races for cash prizes… more information is to come. Our sponsors usually GIVE AWAY goodies and supply the prizes for a GREAT raffle. This is an awesome event for those who are new to the drag racing scene. You can get in tons of practice and get advice from other experienced racers. This is the event to be at!!

Prices:
Prepay = $35 (Prepay information will be posted later)
At the gate = $45
Spectators = $5 (kids are free)

I have a convertible with no roll bar, do you think I can run my car? I have heard that you can't run a convert on drag strips without a roll cage. Does anyone know?

John, I would say an axle if you have one.

Doug
When you bring the pulley, could you also bring a firewall adjuster in black if you have one as well.

JB, You bringing your car? I dont believe you have a Cobra.

Evanstang, Who did you use for tuning? Have good luck?

What are we doing after?

Yeah Doug, I need a firewall adjuster/adj quadrant if you got some in stock. I'll be coming in from STL with the rest of the STL boys.

I have the same tune... I bought a wideband LC-1 to check it myself. It's hard to trust anyone other than myself... So I hooked it up to my laptop and did some wide open runs and the AFR was safe.... it even touched into the 10's, so I don't know why the Fort Wayne's Tuners dyno should my AFR so high, unless they just wanted to do a retune for the $750.00. I also found that out that the slight miss/bucking was from the EGR system. DPFE, unplugged that and it virtually was gone; go figure.

Regardless, I think I will be coming to this event. It will be cool to meet some people and make a couple of "take it easy and try not to break anything" passes:thumbsup:

I blew up my clutch at Byron yesterday so my car is getting a DFX, 26 spline, LDC mod, and DSS level 5's for Saturday....
