Just wondering if there is a difference between a mid pipe for a 2000 lightning and a 2000 4x4. Have a friend with plugged cats and needs to find a solution. Any help is always appreciated.

No real difference that I know of. I have both and the 4X4 is a extended cab which is longer. LMR or LMC Truck has some cable blank offs that delete the rear O2s and not throw a check engine light if you are thinking of getting rid of the cats. You used to be able to get rid of the rear O2s with a Predator Programmer, but the last s/w release got rid of it. Is the 4X4 a regular cab?

Yes, the Mil eliminators are the same as for the mustang, I have the same ones. The pipes are definitely different. They are the same until they merge together at the point where the drivers side comes across the truck. On the lightning they stay seperated and enter the muffler, but the extended cab - the pipes merge together into one pipe to the muffler that is further back in front of the axle.
