Looking for the best price I can get for Michelin Pilot Super Sports for a 2012 CTS-V Wagon. The tire sizes are:
255/40/19 fronts
285/35/19 rears

I'm having trouble finding the rears in stock anywhere. If you don't have a line on any what's your best guess for availability? My fronts are shot but I can stretch the rears a bit if needed.

I'm local and can pick up if that makes any difference too.

Thank you for reaching out to us.

The front tires are readily available but the rear tires are on back order and none of our local stores have a pair in stock. I checked with Michelin and there is no planned production date on them which unfortunately means no ETA.

Are there any other models you are considering?

To be honest I hadn't looked at any other models. If they don't have an ETA is there a chance they've discontinued this model? I ask because I don't want to buy fronts only to get mismatched tires in a few months when they decide to produce more.

The rears have not been discontinued, Michelin just doesn't have a planned production date. They've been having issues keeping up with the demand as they only have I believe two plants with the capability to produce them. Hopefully they will be available soon.

If you decide you don't want to wait, the Nitto Invo and Continental DW are two solid options to look into.

Also affected by the Michelin PSS shortage, I'm looking for a comparable option specifically with regards to traction and being a street tire. I am pushing 580WHP so the unavailability of the PSS was a bummer since I need a replacement by the end of November.

Matt,

Can you PM me a price for the set and I'll install the fronts and wait for the rears or am I better of going to a local Discount Tire? I'm looking to hop on the $70 rebate while it's still available.

Wheel specialists in Tempe were able to get the rears out of TN but they were almost $200 more per tire and unfortunately karting season starts next week and losing $400 on tires kills my tire budget for racing.

So what's the deal with MPSS, they have been on back order forever. What's going on with Michelin. Its pretty sad that some of cant get a alternative stock tire size for our SVTPP wheels. Do you have any updates?

Unfortunately the SS is still on back order status for a number of sizes.

What size/s are you after, milner? I'd be happy to reach out to Michelin for you.
