Metco Pulley hub help needed

So I got the factory pulley off no problem, got the new metco hub on partial way, still 1/2" or so to go, Metco tool keeps stripping out the threads, it does not seam to be up for the task, any other suggestions
for pressing on the hub ? was gonna try to make something tommorrow but not sure what

Is there something that's keeping the tool from seating all the way in the bore? I always use anti-seize when pressing things together. Some on the threads and some between the parts being pressed together.

No everything looks ok i got anti seize, so the set screw that goes into the big screw for pressing on keeps stripping out the threads in that big screw

Im gonna try a block with hole in it and a 8mm bolt If not. I need to find directions on taking snought off and pressing it on i guess
