I have 2011 gt auto with stock 3.15 gears and stock converter with 23,000 miles. I recently noticed a slight howl while cruising around so I took it to a friends shop and pulled the plug and there was a good amount of very fine metal on the magnetic plug. My friends thoughts were I could be the pinion bearing going bad from all the hard nos launching at the track or maybe the clutches in the stock LSD ? Has anyone else had this issue if so what did u find? Please advise so I can correct this problem. I also have a new set of 3.73 gears and bearings for it already but it seems a lot of people disagree with running 3.73 with an auto and power adder, has anyone tried them and if so what makes 3.73 a poor choice for gear selection?
