Hello, all. It's been quite some time since I've used the forum, so it's good to be back.

So I picked up an 03 a few months ago. The car came with a couple of Lunar gauges that had burned out quite some time ago, so the back lighting never worked. I finally got around to replacing them with C2s and had some questions. The Lunar water temp gauge sender was originally installed in the crossover pipe like this.

It looks like they added a "T" type extension to where the original temp sending unit goes and put both aftermarket and stock sending units on it. (I'm guessing the stock set up has the original sender screwed directly into the crossover?) So if this is set up the way it is, is it going to give me accurate temperature readings? Or will I be getting temp readings of slightly stagnant coolant? How beneficial would it be to relocate the C2 sending unit to the bottom of the block?

Any suggestions/comments are welcome.

Thanks!

I have the sensor on the DS of the block.
I believe it makes for a more accurate reading.
