Hello everyone my name is matt. I am an active owner in a taxicab company located in new rochelle ny. We are currently looking for a top notch mechanic/tech to run our repair garage. We have a total of 30 cabs all crown vics ranging from 1998-2005 with one 1997 buick lesabre. Your job would consist of diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing our vehicles. You will also be responsible for ordering parts for the vehicle you are repairing if we don't have it in stock. We have several vendors that we deal with. Starting salary $20 per hour m-f 9am-5pm sat 8am-1pm total45hours a week $900 before taxes
6 Paid holidays= independence day,memorial day,thanksgiving,labor day,christmas and new years.
You also get 8 sick days a year
1 week paid vacation after six months, 1 more week after next six then 2 weeks a year after that. This is a really cool job for someone looking to step up to the plate and show what you got. Well qualified people please only reply theres no room for error here we want the real deal!!!!

You say 'run' so how many tech would someone be over?or are you just a tech also what about scanners and some not ordinary hand tools are supplied?Working enviroment?Lifts?brake equipment?would I be able to work on my personal vehicle after hours?how about time off?do you have a fleet manager?Stan

Holy crap!! Here are all your answers lol.. You are your own boss down there. We have a part timer that comes in 8am-1pm and hangs around does everything you would do. You guys run the show down there. Just dont steal be honest and do good work. You boss would be the owners of bluebird taxi which is like a coop with multiple shareholders. I am not a tech i own 3 cabs here in the company and i am vice president on the board of directors. Basic tools are supplied. Impact gun, welding equip, grease/lube machine for fromt end/rearends. Basic stuff. If you are a class "A: certified tech we will supply a scanner if you dont have one already. Working enviroment is really cool you will have your own office for your tools, access to the parts room to conduct bussiness for us, and basically run the show. We have 2 lifts but a big garage with alot of space for anyjob. We dont have brake equiptment we replace pads and rotors we dont cut'em we go through them to fast. Yes you can work on your personal vehicle after hours but it works both ways if a cab happens to come by for a minor job like a bulb or a service you would have to take him in but you will be paid cash for that job by the owner of that cab.You would have sundays off but im sure the part time guy would cover for you here and there if you needed a day off once in a while. We dont have a fleet manager it's not needed we are a owner operated company that just needs a mechanic to diagnose and repair our cars daily.
