Map light LEDs

Installed LEDs in the map light in my 04 Termi Vert and now I can't switch them on when the door is closed. When I have the door ajar they are on no problem. What could cause this?

Maybe an issue with the switches in the light? There should be 3 bulbs in it, and only the center bulb will come on when the doors are opened or the car is unlocked. The other 2 lights on the sides have to be activated manually. When I took my dome light out the mounts for the lights (copper contact mounts) were corroded badly, and two tabs broke off. I had to solder it back together, and reinforce the map light mounts. I would take the dome light back out and inspect it.
