I'm looking at purchasing a great deal of parts to give my CSVT Stacy a performance moded tune-up.

I'm starting with the Autolite Double Platinum Plugs.
To turn the CEL light off, dual Bosch O2's will be changed.
I havent finalized on the rest because...

I am reading about:

Accel 300+ Digital Coil and Ignition Kit part 49326 price $246
Accel EDIS 6-Cyl Super Coil Module part 196596 price $99

would I need both in order to get a performance ignition system setup?

If so, what does MSD offer that would be better/as-good-as and/or cheaper?

THANKS!

Why? The stock ignition is fine for a stock car. Hell, even the 'big dawgs' run stock coils etc.

Double plats in this motor is a big no no. They are absolute junk.

Only thing worth swapping out would be the 02 sensors. And Ryan is correct, we have people pushing over 500 hp at the crank and running the stock ignition.

bad ass, i honestly didnt feel like shelling out $90 for an accel coil pack.

as far as plugs go, what should i be putting in my motor? bosch plats?

no clue. but both O2 are DONE! that was so damn easy, id trade a cheaper price for more frustration.

again, thanks guys.

well i changed my plugs to ngk iridiums back in may and they run great in the car. my car ran smoother and it reved a bit easier. of course you'll shell out like 6.50 bucks per plug so they aint cheap at a total of 43 bucks. that's including tax.

as an owner of a MSD, i would say you dont need it. it's great for people using nitrous, but if you have an xcal, or a flip chip, you dont even need it for that. it does give a little bottom end power but it's not worth the money. stock SVT ignitions are great. i would make sure you get nice thick spiral core wires too. after that, exhaust and intake if you havent! i dont know what everyone else found, but i gained about 2 mpg with the K&N and maf adaptor....but the exhaust took that gain right back lol......
