That is really sad to hear. I saw his interviews on the band of brothers DVD's and he was as great as a person could be. A great American

a true american, and a top notch leader. watched all his interviews in band of brothers. he will be missed. i salute him as well

for me the interview parts of the movie were really moving... I personally couldn't hold back the tears.... Great American !!!!

my favorite part in the interviews is when he talks about a question his grandson asked him

"Grandpa, were you a hero in the war?"

"Grandpa said no........but I served in a company of Heroes..."

can't say it any better than that

Very sad. I've read a bunch of his books and course more about Easy Company.

What's sad is that there are thousands of men like Winters who never so much as got a thank you from us for their outstanding service. Kudos to all of them. RIP Major Winters.
