Mahle Rods and Pistons on Ebay

hey guys I am in the middle of trying to put my short block back together and I am trying to decide on rods and pistons. There a set listed on Ebay from a place in Southen Cal called The Mustang Depot. They have listed are a set of 4340 Forged rods and pistons and rings in a kit for like only 840 all together. This deal sounds kind of to good to be true if you guys know what I mean where everyone else is around 1200 for rods and pistons you know. What do you guys think about these rods and pistons junk or not.

the only thing i saw wrong with them is the compression ratio which is 9.2:1 which is kid of high but im looking to buy them too. so a second opion would be great

Hey Bart Tobener from MV Performance and Tim Barth from Modular Power House told me these rods and pistons are JUNK so becareful man

I've built about 5 L motors with those H rods from mustang depot. they are identical in everyway to the manleys even the weight. for 1/2 the price. Mahle pistons are oem on all Ls.

Do they come balanced? That's an additional expense otherwise, right?

they come pretty close. last set only one needed just a tad of grinding.
