Does the MAF have to be at the angle it is from the factory? I am thinking of running the intake down the fender and putting the filter behind the bumper somewhere for some cool fresh air. To straiten the track I will need to 45 out the whipple intake and MAF. Will this affect the way the MAF reads the in comming air? Basicaly what Im trying to do is make (or buy if someone made it) a strait ram air, cold air intake, or something to supply strait cold air. I would go for the chicken-ears set up but the air tube is only 3". I know that the filter grabs air from the fender too but I want a one way pressureized path from the cool outside air to the intake. I am also wanting to wrap all the intake tubing with heat wrap as well as wrap the IR or KC that I hopefuly will get. Any work/heat load I can take off the intercooler the better.
