mach 1 or a 05 gt

my friend is in the market to buy a new car. He is very unsure if the 3 valve engines of the 05 or the quad cam of the mach 1 might be the way to go. the price of the cobras around here made it an unlikely choice for him so he settled on the mach or the 05.

I'd probably go with the 05. I like the machs to, but I reciently drove an 05GT and it's a very SOLID car. Plus I love the way they look lowered with rims and a wing delete.

But really, I don't think you can go wrong either way.

While I definately prefer the look of an the Hard-edge mustangs,

05 will be a better car overall and can look pretty badass with some styling help.

My vote is for the 05 (never thought I'd say that).

They're both close in performance but I really don't know which is better and/or cheaper mod for mod yet. Unless he really likes the look of the 05 and wants some improved handling straight out of the box, the Mach1 is the hands down better value right now. Besides, I haven't seen too many 05's priced lower than what you could find a good used 03 Cobra for.

I would rather get the Mach 1....the main reason being because it is a MACH 1...In my perspective it has more of a "value" than the 05 GT

I hope my Mach has some value in the future, but I doubt it. Maybe a cherry 03-04 Mach in the year 2053 might be worth a little something but that would make me 87 years old...who gives a sh*t by then.

Mach 1 as said in a previous post about someone asking which one to get.
1.) They have more power/torque.
2.) They look a shit load better.
3.) Easy to mod.
4.) Not a first year model like the 05 Mustang, wait till all the glitches/problems with the car are worked out before you buy one. Never buy a first year car!

I'd have to say if anything, despite each cars advantages and disadvantages, there just seems to be more of a fun factor involved when it comes to the Mach1. That pretty much goes with any Mach1, classic and later model.
