Mach 1 Eaton Swap Question

Ok everyone, this may be a dumb question, but it is really just a curiousity question. I know a lot of guys do an Eaton M112 swap and you need the cobra timing cover, crank pulley and tensioners and all that jazz, but what is stopping someone from say swapping a M122 snout onto a M112 so you have a shorter snout and you can run it off a single crank pulley?

If you change the snout do you still need all the hose and tensioner and cobra full conversion kit.

If you google GT500 supercharger swap, there is a guy in texas selling a swap plate for the termy lower and a GT500 supercharger uppper.

I believe the guy for swap brackets is terry gorush, google it. I bought some for a swap, but sold the entire swap to a guy for decent coin
