I didn't do any research, but I thought 1969 was the last year for a 390 in a Mach 1? I never really liked that body style much, but I would still rock it!!!

I wouldn't say that its a barn find because the wheels look like there not that old so that car hasn't been sitting that long.
The other thing is that the motor is a 429/460 and not an FE 390. The car is suposed to have a 351 2bbl. Other than that it doesn't look to bad.
Those cars are will be bringing good money soon.

My dad had a 71 Boss 351. It might as well have not had a back glass because you couldn't see out the damn thing.

My first car was a 73 Mach 1 with a 351 I found it a few years ago & tried to buy it back with no luck.

It is a real rag now with the org motor long gone.

Kinda sweet; only a couple hours north of me.

Too bad I hate that big turd of a body.

the car is only 3" longer a couple wider than a '70.. 71-73s are really the most overlooked first gen mustangs for just such a reason, but they were designed in '68 (when the horsepower wars were still in full swing) to be able to accept any one of Ford's engines without any problems, that's why you can shove a 429/460 in one with ease.

If I had tons of cash I would stay on top of geting mine back & drop a 04 Cobra motor in it etc.
