M/M CC Plave tes Dust boot

I just installed my MM c/c plates today. Very easy to install. One question I have is that the blue dust boot they came with does not cover as much of the strut as the factory one did. Should I be concerned about this? A lot of the shiney part of the strut is exposed. Just trying to make sure I didn't install something wrong.
