Lube for injector install ?

Hey,

For those that have swapped injectors. What lube did you guys use for the injectors ?

I've googled and I'm seeing everything from oil to vaseline to ky jelly lol

Just use a little bit of WD40 on the o-rings and that will work just fine.

Little spit on them and they will slide right in. Done countless of them that way and never no issue.

I use silicone brake grease. The rings are viton but, I still won't use anything petro-based on them, just out of habit.

I use spit on the injectors and the COPS so they slide on the plugs better. I can send you some, only $3.95 for a tube.

This^^ I have swapped tons of injectors over the years and have always used regular old dinosaur oil. Very very light coating. Have never had an o-ring fail.

I spit on them as well, but you can also just pull the dip stick out and use whatever oil is on it.

I always use a very small dab of vaseoline.

ive always grabbed the closes engine oil to me
pour some in the cap of it then diped my finger in it and rubbed it on the o ring
