I'm curious as to how you guys that live in emissions strict places(*California..Austin...etc) run long tubes and pass emissions. I'm in Austin and I know they run the full OBDII round of checks.

The OBD test depends on the tuning.

The visual is the hard part. Most ‘know a guy’.

My 11 went through with no issues in 2014 & 2016 using a similar set-up. I take the 14 next month & expect no issues.
My 02's are turned on, throw no codes.
N.J. state inspection center plugs into the OBDII port looking for everything to be enabled.

- Easiest is to "know a guy"
- LT with cats and a decent tune will pass a OBDII readiness without issue.

Thanks. I haven't seen them do a visual inspection before. Might change if it was louder...but then again most of the guys doing the inspection don't have a clue.
