I have a friend who is a tuner here locally, and was working on an LSA swapped Colorado for a shop. I met him at the dyno to check it out and see what it made, on the way out, the owner asked if I wanted to run him, even though it wasn't entirely a fair run. I said sure just for the hell of it. I tried to heat up the tires a little bit, but it wheel hops bad (need to get the FTBR kit ASAP) so we wen't from a 20 roll on cold tires. Still spun bad and had to pedal it through first, and I need to work on my 2-3 shift lol. The little truck hung pretty well until I got traction haha.

Colorado :
GM LSA crate motor
Lingenfelter 650HP kit
shorty headers and full exhaust
13PSI
4L65E
9" rear
401/583 on a Mustang Dyno 100 octane

Low numbers due to a stingy dyno, combined with restrictive exhaust

Cobra:
Mods in sig,
335 Toyo RA1 @ 20 psi

You fixed it. That truck was quiet as hell for full exhaust. Looked like he wasnt even racing. lol

I meant full exhaust as in cats, mufflers, tails etc. I'ts not very quiet, but my Cobra is obnoxiously loud.

It would really benefit from a free flowing exhaust setup. It has a small y-pipe that fits the Colorado. The guy was disappointed with the numbers, but we both told him, cam swap, better exhaust, and ditch the stock air-box.

Same shop is building an older f-150 (97-03) with a Raptor 6.2 and a 2.9 Whipple. Should be fun lol. I will get pictures and vids of that when when it's up and running

Yeah,ECU was all jacked up I believe. Had to get a dealership reflash before it would accept a tune. I went down and tried to help him fix it one night.

Nice truck, but 401hp?

I'll be captain obvious and say that something is definitely wrong. An LSA should put down a lot more hp, especially with the mods listed.

It's got a stock thermostat in it, so it was like 220* on the dyno, restrictive exhaust and a stock Colorado air box so it was breathing through a straw, and it's on a Mustang dyno, and one that even for a Mustang, is known for being stingy. Both tuners tried hard to get the numbers up. Also remember, it's through a 4l65e, transfer case, built 9" and large off-road tires. Adding all that up, it really doesn't seem too far off.

yeah that stuff does add up but man.... 401rwhp? For comparison a guy on camaro5 dynoed a 650HP package on a 6speed ZL1....it dynoed 570rwhp and 630rwtq...so pretty much on par with a 650 package and this was on BONE STOCK EXHAUST setup. Loosing 200rwhp or so seems like a lot.
