Lowering pressures with aftermarket valve body?

99 Lightning with race VB

I installed a new valve body and it is pretty harsh. Is it fine to just lower my shifting pressures to get it to shift softer for daily driving?

Any chance your shift pressures had been raised from stock in the tune? If so they should definitely be put back to stock levels anyway.

Ive never had a "race" valve body, the street one was firm enough for me.

I have already put the pressure back to stock. The WOT shifts are very harsh. Since the VB is all mechanical, I really don't know if I will be able to get things where I want without a VB change.
