Lower cage question

I have my lower crank pulley cage off the car. It has some play from front to back. I did some searching on Google about disassembling them and couldn't find anything worth mentioning. My first question is should I be worried about the play? The pulley itself is fine. It's the inner part that screws into the crank and the part on the outside that has the 3 studs that go into the rubber on the pulley. My second question is how to take it apart or tighten up? Thanks.

I've only messed with a couple of stock pullies with cages and I don't remember them having any back and forth play. I thought I saw a write up somewhere about rebuilding them.

They middle part is supposed to move a bit, it floats on the 3 rubber bushings. The pulley itself is on a bearing, if that's tight and smotth, then you're fine.

This unit in hand will rattle shake and wobble..

The pulley has no bearing..it rides on the the post with rubber..

the main allen bolt rides on a bearing thats pressed in the cage..

It can be taken part ..

the tri bar will unscrew from allen bolt. .it to has reverse thread

Here is one apart, you can see the pulley is on a large bearing. The allen-headed shaft runs through the center and is supported on the snout of the crank balancer when it's threaded on.
