Anyone ever had experience with low compression test due to cams being out of time? Stock cams were installed by lining up dots on gears with copper links.

Compression test results are 125 in every cylinder.

Car starts, idles and drives perfectly, no oil burning or other issues either.

Anyone experience anything of this nature? Trying to help a buddy who bought a car recently figure out issue.

Thanks.

Could just be the type of gauge. Mine always reads in the 170 range. Whats really important is close readings between all cylinders.
