What might that be? It is a rotational sound that gets faster as the car travels faster (from 5-45 mph or so) yet almost goes silent when traveling at hwy speeds (50-up mph). There is also some mild grinding (metal-on-metal) sounds too at low speeds (0-5 mph).

C V axle? differential failure? Drive shaft?

I think it's related to the CV joint/axle... if so... how bad a fix is that cost/time?

thank you guys!

Does it change sound when you take a turn?

hmmm... not really... only thing I noticed, once, I was taking a slight left at a drive-thru (McDonalds, McRib and fries if you were wondering) and the noise actually stopped. This would most likely be due to the fact that the inside wheel was not turning very much since it was a left turn...

Sounds like a wheel bearing. My '01 did that when I bought it on the front drivers wheel. Bought new hub assemblies for both sides and had them changed. No more noise after that. The rear ones I heard were harder to change. Best of luck my friend.
