Currently have an ATI radeon all in wonder 7500 (64mb ddr) and although I like the all in wonder features, it just isn't doing it for games anymore.

Looking to spend around 150ish with a max of 200.

Gonna occasionally game on it, nothing heavy like doom3 with all display features maxed, but just something to play with.

Currently have . . . athlon xp 2500+ (barton) and 512mb ddr. Might get some more memory too . . .

how do these look?

That isn't a 9800 Pro. Just a 9800 (probably SE edition).

I noticed newegg is out of a whole bunch of 9800 Pro's, maybe ATI is phasing them out because of their new series.

What I suggest you do is wait this weekend and check out your local store ads...if they have the 9800 Pro for less then $200, go buy it and buy HL2. Inside HL2 is a $20 rebate for any retail ATI video card..

Either that..or get a Nvidia 6600 GT

I would definately go with the 9800 Pro, make sure it has the 256bit memory interface no matter what size it is (128mb or 256mb). Remember bigger is not always better. I would rather have my 256bit interfaced 128mb 9800 Pro.. than a 256mb 9800 with a 128bit interface. It's all about bandwidth. The 9800 is at a sweet spot right now for performance and price, you won't be dissapointed. I love it.

Lowest is $230 on pricewatch and thats at greatpcsonline.com. Newegg also has the 9800pro AIW with a coupon to download half life 2 for $250.

I usually just stick to newegg since I love their service/shipping and they always have competitive prices.
