Looking for a mac laptop

Im looking for a new mac laptop (~$800-1200) or maybe a refurbished one, but I am not quite sure where to look for the best deals. We went to the apple store and they just had the bare-bones basic macbook for that price. Any ideas?

Mac Laptop's have always seemed to go for good money. More so than PC's I see. Have you tried looking at a used one? I have 2 titanium G4 laptops lying around I might be motivated to sell. I have nearly 10 computers... That's a bit excessive, ha.

Look at schools around your area. I'm pretty sure that if any school is using a lap top system, it will be Mac. They will always have a few that they don't need, yet are still in good condition. They should sell them for pretty cheap.
