I found a 2014 gt premium for sale at a dealer, brand new. It's ruby red with a 6 speed. On a stupid discount right now msrp is 37,660 and sale price is 28,500. Just curious on what everyone pays per month, term, and percentage? If you guys don't mind sharing, thanks!

I will be trading my focus ST in and carrying some negative equity. I will also be selling my cammed 5.4 swapped 2000 GT

Sounds like a good deal on the car. Most people go 60-72mo's, and rate is going to depend on your personal credit.

Dont know your financial situation - but I would advise you keep the 00GT with the 5.4 swap if its a good running car. I got rid of my 99GT to get my 2011, and while I love my car, I miss the 99 as it was just a fun car to beat on with not too much worry.

Second, 84 months is 7 freaking years. That seems ridiculous to me for a car payment.

Third, the price on the 2014 is great. If you can swing it financially, go for it. But you've already dug yourself a hole with your current car. Rolling negative equity into a new $30K car and financing that for SEVEN YEARS, will end up costing a shit ton of money and is far from the responsible step to take.

They have me at 72 months at 540 a month or 84 at 480 a month

Is that with tax from the $28500 or a negative value on your old car? Because when I calculated the annuity at that $480 payment it came out to a yearly interest rate of 10.46%. If, so that is at a high cost to buy.

They have my interest estimated at 5.9 till the actual loan goes through. I was approved at another dealer for a 14 f150 @ 3.9%

BTW, I was a 2.9% yearly when I bought mine. I crunched your numbers with the interest rate you gave (5.9% yearly) on the 84 months. I calculated that you would be financing $32965 and pay a total of $40362.53 for the car with interest. Hopefully that helps you out.

I have about 2k in negative equity on my 2013 focus ST, owned for 15 months
