I have been a camaro guy for a long time but came across a 88 GT. What are some things to look out for don't want to buy a wrecked car or get some POS? Thanks a lot guys?

The core support under the hood. Check fender alignment. Check for leaks. Do you have any pics of the car?

Porno Red interior FTMFW:rockon:

It does look like a project but not that bad from the picture I would say $2000 would be my max.The 1987-88 mustang use speed density and that system does not like mods very well.If you want a nice car and are not looking to add performance then its good. You could convert it over to mass air flow and add any mods with very little trouble.

1989 and up mustangs come with the mass air flow system

Look for rust in the spots others said and in the door jam above the upper door hinges.

A clean fox is worth 3-5K (maybe more less pending what it is)...a ragged one, not so much.... any rust, young previous owners, driveline condition, all things to look for.

Check for rust under the hatch lip too, and where the k-member meets the frame rails up front. Also, check the torque boxes for damage. And I agree with the above....that thing is way overpriced.

Under the car right in front of the rear tires. They had a hole in them. They are a square looking box.
