I sold my 96 mystic about five years ago, wanted another ever since. There is one that came up for sale locally, I'm considering buying it. Its all original except for the wheels, it has aftermarket Cobra R's. Its in good shape, only issue is some slight fading on the rear bumper. It currently has 87,000 miles. I've been away several years, so not sure what would be considered a good buy on this car. How much would this car be worth? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

If its mint and unmolested I'd offer up to 7~8k due to the rarity of the color. I sold a freshly repainted 96 Vert(non mystic) for 10k last year, but it had some work done...

I picked mine up 2 years ago for 7800 which was stock minus a CAI. Had 70k on the odometer and had some minor fade on front and rear bumpers and rock chips on the front hood. I'd say anything under 8500 would be a good price, over that its getting a little high for a stock cobra even if it's mystic.

I got mine for $4000 but the roof had rust issues and the car really needs paint completely. This was a FL car its whole life and never garage kept with 86,000 miles, 4.30 rear gears with Detriot Locker, short throw shifter, mach 1 interior, and CAI...Only bought it because of low price, didn't even like mystic but now it has grown on me and I feel like I would be doing the car wrong to paint any other color :(

I'd say $8k is the most I'd go with that faded bumper. It isn't gonna be cheap to fix right. I picked mine up for $3500 with 124k but every plastic body piece plus the roof on the car has terrible fading or flaked off clear coat and the interior is toast.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I sold my last one with ~135k miles for $7500 IIRC, and I've looked around here and see some with over 100k miles listed for over $8,000. I was expecting this one to be worth more than that. They are asking $10,000 which I knew was high, I just didn't know it was that far out there. Sounds like the best thing to do is sit on it and see what happens, maybe they'll lower it some more (was originally listed at $13k-$14k). Thanks again!

Arkansas, I'm currently in Hawaii with my mystic in NC, I'm interested in selling if you are open to the idea.

I would say that car should sell somewhere between $8k-10k, there's a lot of cobras in that price range. The mystic cars are not all that hard to find, but if you want original then you had better just go try to buy it, fewer original cars all the time.

I'm really not interested in one with over 100k miles. Being bone stock isn't a huge deal. I wouldn't mind one with minor mods such as intake, exhaust, gears, etc. Sounds like the best thing to do is just keep an eye out. I'd like to get one, but going to have to be the right deal. I'm hoping with time the one I'm looking at will go down, but if not it seems like there are plenty others out there.

I'm telling you man, always check ebay. There are some nice ones, what about an 04?

I definitely will keep an eye on eBay, auto trader, Craigslist, etc. The 04 is my dream car, but being roughly double the cost of the 96 its out of my price range.

I don't know about the market in Arkansas, but here in CA they seem to be a little more expensive. My friend just bought an original owner 96 Mystic with like 27k miles for $13k I think he said?
