So I have a few questions reguarding installing some long tubes on my 2012 manual gt.

First off what are you guys using for gaskets? I see people using copper gasket maker. Is there a reason for this? I'd feel safer with an actual gasket In there.

Secondly are locking header bolts reccommended or needed?

Thanks for the help guys

I used the factory gaskets and used the bolts pypes provided with mine but it was easy to get the studs off as the motor was out of the car......and to make it easier get a flex head ratchet wrench

If you drop the k member it's really easy to take the studs off and use bolts if that's what you want to do. I've done headers with and without dropping the k member, and I highly recommend dropping it lol. You can actually just unbolt it and let it hang off the suspension.

Any allignment issues after bolting the kmember back up?
