Lug Nut Will Not Come Off!!

local shop just installed new tires this week

i think someone got a little trigger happy with the impact wrench

it is not stuck on, it broke loose, but will not unthread.

i'm only able to turn with the lug remover,

it is not easy enough to do by hand like all others

after the initial few turns

i was going to do front brakes tonight :bored:

i've never seen this happen before

any help is appreciated

i'm just angry about it, couldn't even spell "lug" right in the title :bash:

Make sure the stud is OK before you sign off on this. Not a big deal, but can be a bit of a pain to replace.

had the exact same thing happen to me. only the stud was stripped inside the hub and was just spinning around. they had to torch the stud off, and i haven't gotten it replaced yet. i'm not sure what i'm going to do since a new stud will just spin inside the hub. my options are to try to get a slightly oversized stud pressed in, or put a regular sized one on and spot weld it to the hub. just goes to show you can't trust ANYONE with your car, not even to take a f*cking wheel off.
