Finally got a chance to take the 300 to the local drag strip last night for test n tune. Only about 20 cars there and track was well prepped. Most cars were true drag cars running in 5s-6s.

Street cars where my car(2013 300SRT8,fully loaded mods CAI,canned Tune), a 2010 gt auto(full boltons, procharger, gears, converter, drag radials), 2011 gt track pack car(boss intake, BBK longtube, off-road h, borla s, Bama tune, drag radials) , 95 Silverado turbo 5.3 swap(wouldn't give details, other then stock block)

Track was well prepped and was a cool night DA was 185.

First race was against the procharger gt. He slaughtered me he ran a 7.54@ ~94 with a 1.74 60ft. I ran a 8.249 @87.8 with 1.95 60ft. Of course wasn't close car was quick.

Next race was vs the 11 5.0. He ran an 8.27@~89 with a 1.90ft I ran 8.229 at 88.4 with 1.91 60ft plus I got him at the tree.

He was new to the car and was trying to figure how to launch(with drag radial) and shift. His best of the night was a 8.1x @ 90 1.94 60ft.

Next the procharger gt vs the 5.3 turbo. Mustang ran another 7.5x the 5.3 turbo with full slick ran 7.00@100 cant remember the 60ft. He ran can consistently at 7.00.

Anyway I was impressed with my heavy ass 4 door running 8.2s I am looking to get a set of slicks for the 01 cobra and they will fit the 300 as well so I should be able to hopefully break into the 7s with the sticky tire as I had to diligently roll the throttle or it would roast tires; get to full throttle about 3/4 through first.

Talking with the 11gt guy he said he dyno-Ed in the 430 range, I figured wih all those mods he would be pretty deep in the 7s right. I told him practice that launch especially on the drag radials. Didn't think to ask him what rpm he was shifting at but he was getting into 2nd really quick it seemed.

Anyway what kind of times you think the 11gt with the boss I take should be running?

Yeah it has definitely come a long way. This is my first time out there in the last 4 years. Usually on TnT they never did any prep so it was nice to see a nicely prepped surface.
