Hey guys, I picked up a 8.8 from an explorer for my Jeeps rear end, and the guy offered me a great deal, so I picked a second one up for my Cobra. I was just wondering if anyone has ever done this swap before (no luck searching yet) and if anyone sells pre-cut brackets that will let me weld on the 4 link to make it compatible with Mustangs(it has leaf spring perches on it).

Also, how much is it worth?

Ive heard of people swapping over exploder diffs and 31 spline axles for a cheap 31 spline swap, but never actually doing the whole axle swap before.

I'm afraid its difficult and not often done because explorers axles are made for leaf springs and they are also offset 2.75". I'm not sure what Mustangs are, but this makes it yet even more difficult. I think swapping the axle into the mustang is completely possible, but by doing a lot of googling, it's going to be easier to fabricate everything myself then try to integrate this axle into the old hardware.
