Lightning Questions

I do not have a Lightning right now but I plan on getting one when the 2002's come out. I have a couple of questions first. I would appreciate the input. What will a 2001 run in the 1/4 mile stock? With a few mod such as : filter, chip, and pulley what will one run. I can not find any info on the 2002. Does anyone know if there is going to be any changes?

i have a 01L with jdm flip-chip,filter kit although i don't have any drag numbers on mine yet most with this combo are doing 13.2's-13.3's if you add the blower pulley a 13.0 is likely i would say.as for the 02 lightning i have not heard anything on them if they do make a change it may just be interior stuff since they did a little to the looks on the 01's but who knows what svt has up there sleave.hope this helps some

My 2001 L ran a 13.8 at 101 mph stock.
My current best with just a JDM chip and filter is 13.11 at 104 mph.

Jim at JDM is running 12.7something with his new program, with just a chip and filter. I just had my chip reburned with that program, and if the weather holds up tomorow evening I may have some better times to post.

There are some minor differences between the '99, '00 and the '01 so it wouldn't surprise me to see some in the '02.

Heard from my local dealer that 2002Ls are supposed to have like 400-410HP....well see.

I heard those kind of numbers for '03, but not as early as '02. Should be interesting...

Also maybe a new paint color option...Doubt we see a big HP jump until 03 if at all. How much better can this truck legally get?
