Lifter ticking sound on my 2005 GT.

Hey guys. I just pick up an 05 GT and absolutely LOVE the car. However, I'm noticing a ticking sound in the motor. It sound like a loud lifter. I've read that this problem was fairly common in 05. Anyone else have this problem? What was the fix, and how much$?

I had the so called fix on mine , while under warrenty, they did not fix mine it still ticks, but it is the cam phasers, it was a tsb on it in 05-06, I think. I just learned to ignore it, I guess.

Mine sometimes has a loud ass ticking sound. I'm like ^^^, I just ignore it now.

sucks when you go through the drive through and you want the pick up window girl to hear the pipes, and all she gets is "clack-clack-clack-clack..."

Isn't that just the "Ford Tick" every Ford engine has it

See Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 05-15-8 - it explains the various reasons for a possible ticking sound. It is usually normal and is either valve train noise or noise from the fuel injectors.
