Lexan Window Braces

Hey, sorry to keep spamming the board with questions. I'm in the middle of a follow up build after some install issues over the winter.

One of those issues was my lexan windows, which I incorrectly got too thin windows.

The new 1/4" drop in windows ('12 Boss Mustang) fit cleanly.
The shop riveted them in, around the edges.

The question is with regards to the window braces that we need to either buy or fabricate.

The shop is saying they need to be arched to conform to the window surface. Also, they said they need to rivet through the window into the brace on the rear window.
They said that the rear window will buffet without it, but I'm not so sure.

Does this sound right?

Or can the braces just be straight steel and reside under the window without contacting it directly?

Damn Darren, what are you building this car for? Every time I turn around you're adding some serious track hardware.

I know on the fox body Mustangs it is common to use a couple pieces of aluminum flat stock to support the back window. They are usually attached in some fashion to the lexan.

Do not rivet through the window into the brace.
Brace should gently contact the window along its length.
Thin foam between brace and window.
A rear lexan window will try to implode at very high speeds.

If you have a lexan rear window, you need braces.
